The Write Side of Me Productions, Inc. is a dedicated professional special events production company that produces a variety of entertainment in various capacities. Having over two decades of experience, we were officially incorporated in 2002. In addition to publishing books, poetry and music, over the years we have produced such special events as theater plays, live music, fashion shows, DJ services, gospel programs, and writing competitions. We currently train and develop talent for speaking engagements, book tours and signings.
Currently, the main focus is with our original theater plays which are family orientated and deals with such paramount issues as family, relationship and personal development.

The main intent with these plays is to provoke thought and emotion by canvassing real-life situations of the average everyday ordinary person. The entertainment value is balanced with the perfect blend of humor and music. This formula ensures an event complete with excitement, fun laughter, awareness, inspiration, encouragement, communication and growth.
In each of our productions we also write, produce and record original music. In most cases certain actors/artists sing and perform the songs.
Experience
Under the direction of Barry S. McLeod, The Write Side of Me Productions, Inc. partnered with Hair Elements (a professional haircare manufacturer) by creating a promotional concept designed to bring exposure to their company and products. The plan included touring the play(s) The Skybox, and The Cosmetic Party which created an audience in a fun and enjoyable capacity, while presenting their haircare specialist to perform their special assignments. These events were presented in Columbus and Valdosta, GA, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa, FL.
Other plays were presented in Gainesville, Lake City, Ocala, Williston, Starke, Lawtey, High Springs, Archer and Newberry, Florida.
More recently, our company has collaborated with such institutions as The University of Florida, Santa Fe College, and several churches (of various denominations) within our surrounding areas. We have also presented events for local student scholarship fundraising organizations in Alachua County, to include Sororities.

Our director Mr. McLeod is a valuable person because of his natural likeability that others tend to gravitate toward and attach themselves to. Consistent, very passionate, and caring, Barry not only makes solid relationships wherever he works and applies himself, but he is a strong leader and supporter of productive progress in each capacity. Having been interviewed and/or featured on North Central Floridas #1 News Station TV-20, MAGIC 101.3 FM, 1430 AM, The Gainesville Sun, The Gainesville Guardian, The High Springs Herald, The Bradford Telegraph, The Valder Bebe Show and several other literary companies, Barry has a consistent track record for being received as a very talented and versatile person who has been involved with his community in various facets. Always giving back, he is well appreciated by many to include the Read-A-Thon Literary 2007 event sponsored by the University of Florida, the Black Graduate Students at UF and the My Brothers Keeper Program at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL. Barry has been the guest speaker or has performed at various churches, to include, Antioch Holiness Church, Springhill MBC, Williams Chapel, Miracle Temple, Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church and Miracle Vision Outreach and Tabernacle Center, to name a few.
